Castro trusts more registrations to strengthen Levante

Coach Luis Castro, after the loss to Espanyol, remains confident in Levante UD’s work and expects more registered players before the match against Osasuna. The club still faces economic issues preventing full squad registration and relies on recent signings such as Ifeanyi Ndukwe.

Confidence despite the loss

Luis Castro arrived at Levante UD with the determination not to give up. After the first cold shower of the season against RCD Espanyol, the Granota coach says the team “has to do a little more and they have proven they can do it”. The result was not a definitive blow, but a learning point.

Economic problems and new registrations

Levante still has not resolved the economic issue that prevents the squad from being fully registered in LaLiga. Castro acknowledges that the unregistered players “are having a hard time but are calm” and that their official debut with the Levante kit is still pending. Nevertheless, the coach expects to have more players before the visit to Pamplona next Monday.

Signings that add quality

Among the new signings is Ifeanyi Ndukwe, a central defender loaned from Liverpool. Castro describes him as an “important profile” who needs to play and whose level is “very good”. The Austrian defender has already trained with the rest of his teammates, trusting that “he can grow” during his stay in Ciutat de València.

Preparation for the clash with Osasuna

For the match against Osasuna, Castro knows what he needs to “find the best version of the team”. The opponent, who will play their second league match before the first, “has more information about us than we have about them”. Despite the numerous changes in the squad, Levante has shown that “it can give 100%” and takes the Sunday warning as a sign that the success of the 25/26 season does not guarantee a relaxed start in the current campaign.
