Levante signs Ifeanyi Ndukwe on loan from Liverpool

Levante UD has confirmed the arrival of 18-year-old Austrian centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe, loaned from Liverpool until the end of the season. The player, a former World Cup finalist with Austria U19, will join the central defence alongside Dela, Mandi and Cabello.

Levante UD has formalised the loan of Ifeanyi Ndukwe, an 18-year-old Austrian centre-back, from Liverpool FC. The transfer is set as a loan until the end of the season, becoming the club’s eighth signing of the summer and strengthening the central spine. Ndukwe will compete for a spot with Dela, Mandi and Cabello, arriving after failing to secure the work permit required to play in the Premier League.

Background and experience

Ndukwe was born on 3 March 2008 in Vienna. He began his football education at WAF Brigittenau and joined the academy of FK Austria Vienna in 2016. He made his Bundesliga debut on 10 May against Rapid Vienna before signing with Liverpool FC at the end of the season. He has been a regular in Austria’s youth national teams, featuring for the U17, U18 and U19 sides. In 2022 he was a finalist at the Qatar World Cup with the U19 team.
