Levante UD is about to celebrate 116 years since its founding and to mark the occasion, the club has organized a tribute event to its founder, José Ballester. This special event will take place at Ciutat de València on September 6 and will be attended by authorities, representatives from the world of sports and culture, and family members of José Ballester. The founder of Levante, a native of Cabañal, brought the club to life on September 6, 1909, and despite all the ups and downs in its history, Levante remains alive and retains its identity. That's why the club wanted to honor the memory of its founder and bring him back home along with his wife, Teresa Molins. José Ballester was a pedagogue, footballer, and politician who held positions of responsibility in the Second Republic and went into exile in France after the civil war. Now, Levante has organized an expedition to recover the remains of José Ballester and his wife and bring them back to Cabañal. The tribute event will be a special moment for the club and its fans, who will be able to pay tribute to their founder and celebrate 116 years of Levante's history. The Valencia Provincial Council has granted a subsidy to the club to carry out this tribute event, which will also be attended by Felip Bens, founding member of the Levante history department, and other club representatives. Levante is excited to be able to honor the memory of its founder and share this special moment with its fans.
